FEIXUE'S BEST WAY TO SPEND TIME

Indie Publication Practices

Feixue's publication practices weave imagery and language influenced by the Asian diaspora, internet culture, animation, comics, Surrealism, and Chinese folk art to challenge social norms. Her work explores how social media shapes cultural identities and communities, emphasizing marginalized groups and complexities in both online and offline realms. Her self-initiated publications have been showcased at art book fairs and zine fests worldwide, including the LA Art Book Fair, Multiple Formats Contemporary Art Book Symposium and Book Fair, Printed Matter’s Virtual Art Book Fair, Singapore Art Book Fair, Fanzineist Vienna, and San Francisco Zine Fest. Her work is housed in the Special Collections and Archives at James Branch Cabell Library, Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as in Printed Matter's collection.
